The floor plan
Draw the tables, sort them by zone, assign a waiter and print the tables' QR codes.
Before you start
- For 🧭 Manager
The Floor plan (Catalogue and stock menu) exists for business types with tables (restaurant, café, bakery…) when the Tables module is on ("Tables on" in Settings › Modules). Otherwise everything is "Dine in" with no table.
Drawing the plan#
The grid is 8 columns × 6 rows. With several points of sale, choose the point of sale at the top.
- Add a table: it takes the name T1, T2…, 4 seats, the "Hall" zone, a square shape and the first free cell.
- Click a table to select it, then an empty cell to move it.
- In the Properties panel: Name, Colour, Zone (Hall, Terrace, Bar, Private room, Counter), Shape (Square, Round, Rect.), Assigned waiter.
- Save (the button only shows when there are changes).
A table already saved that you delete (bin) disappears immediately from the server, after confirmation; other changes wait for "Save".
The assigned waiter#
The list offers Waiter, Cashier and Manager members. A waiter only sees the tables assigned to them in the waiter app: remember to assign some (see the waiter app). Their initials show on the table.
QR codes#
QR Codes opens "Table QR codes": one QR per saved table, to print and put on the table, so the customer orders from their phone (QR menu, on-site ordering). Download (SVG), PNG, or Print all.
Time alerts#
In Settings › Register, "Table alerts (timer)": "Seated without an order" (10 min), "Order in progress for" (30), "Total time exceeded" (45). Tables change colour on the till's plan; the waiter app marks a table "Late" in red after the alert time (45 min by default).
