The back office: menu, roles and access

Who can open the dashboard, what each menu group holds, and why an entry does not show.

Before you start

  • For 🧭 Manager

The back office (the "dashboard") is where the manager sets up the catalogue, follows sales, manages stock and the team. It opens from a computer or tablet, with an email and password (see signing in).

Why does an entry not show?#

A module is active when your subscription includes it and its setting is not turned off (in Settings › Modules). Some entries also depend on the business type: for example, no floor plan for a retail shop, no stock for a salon.

The banners at the top of pages#

  • No manager account: the owner is invited to create one (without a manager, nobody can authorise a cancellation or closing at the till when the owner is absent).
  • Set my PIN: to authorise protected actions at the till.
  • Demo data active (demonstration accounts).
  • Subscription: expiry or trial-end date, with the support contact. On a trial, a countdown shows in the last 15 days.
