Choosing the order type#

Above the cart, buttons choose the type. When only one is possible, they are not shown.

TypeWhen it is offered
TableAlways (dine in).
TakeawayIf the Takeaway module is on (with the Customers module). Optional "Name" and "Phone" fields: they are used for the kitchen ticket and the cup.
DeliveryIf the Delivery module is on (with Customers). A customer is required: the search window opens and the type only changes once the customer is confirmed.
GlovoIf you turned on the Glovo type: see the custom payment method and Glovo.

Depending on your business type, some types do not exist (a salon or a shop has no tables or kitchen; a coffee shop has no tables but keeps takeaway and delivery).

Choosing a table#

With the floor plan on and the "Table" type: tap Select a table. The plan shows tables by zone, with their state:

  • Free, Busy;
  • with the kitchen screen: In the kitchen, Ready;
  • Late when a table passes the alert time (45 minutes by default).

A busy table shows the elapsed time and the total. Tapping a busy table opens its order in "add" mode: you do not create a second one on the same table.

If the point of sale has tables and none is chosen, Send to kitchen and Charge open the floor plan first.

Covers#

With the Covers option (off by default, with tables), the till asks for the number of people right after the table is chosen: buttons 1 to 10, − and + up to 99, Confirm, or Skip (nothing is saved). The number prints on the kitchen ticket ("Covers: n") and on the customer receipt.

To fix it later: In progress tab › the order › the Covers icon.

Changing table#

With the Table transfer option (off by default): In progress › the order › the Change table icon. Only free tables can be chosen. Everyone except the kitchen can do it, with no manager code; the change is noted in the activity log ("A → B"). It does not reprint anything in the kitchen.

Sending to the kitchen#

Tap Send to kitchen: the order is created (unpaid), the kitchen tickets print, the cart empties and the In progress tab opens. A "Order #… Sent to the kitchen" confirmation shows briefly.

The button exists for every business type that has a kitchen, with or without a kitchen screen: without a screen, the printed ticket is enough.

Adding items to an order already sent#

  1. Open the order: tap the busy table, or Add in In progress.
  2. The cart tab shows "+#…" and a banner reminds you of the order (number, table, total). The type choice and the Charge button are hidden.
  3. Add products and tap Send to kitchen: only the new items print, marked "* MODIFIED *". Automatic sending is set in Settings › Printers ("Automatic kitchen send", on by default).

Reprinting in the kitchen#

In In progress, expand the order then tap the chef's hat icon ("Reprint in the kitchen"): the current items are reprinted. The button exists by default; it can be removed in the settings. Another icon reprints the customer receipt.

The "In progress" list#

The In progress tab (absent for businesses with no orders to follow) refreshes every 10 seconds. Each order shows the table, the day number (#007), the state (To process, In the kitchen, Ready; without a kitchen screen: Sent), the elapsed time, the waiter and the customer. Expanded, it offers Add, Charge and icons: reprint, change table, covers, more actions (edit, discount, cancel).

Orders from the kiosk, the QR menu and online arrive "to validate": Validate → kitchen sends them, before payment.
