Meal deals#
A meal deal is a fixed-price menu where the customer chooses in each group ("starter + main + drink"). The Meal deals page (Catalogue and stock menu) exists with the kiosk module; meal deals show:
- on the kiosk ("Meal deals" category);
- on the QR menu, if you turn on Show meal deals in Settings › Appearance, "QR menu" card (off by default);
- not at the till: the cashier builds the order product by product.
Creating a meal deal#
New meal deal:
- Name ("Burger Menu"), Price (MAD), Description, Image.
- Active (default) and Featured.
- For each group ("Main course"): a name, Min and Max choices (default 1 and 1), then + Add a product…; each product can carry a Surcharge (positive or negative).
- + Add a group as needed, then Save.
Rules: at least one group with products; the minimum does not exceed the group's number of choices; only active, non-ingredient products are offered. The ↑↓ arrows set the display order; the bin deletes permanently.
Price paid = the meal deal's price + chosen surcharges; the server re-checks the choices and recalculates the price at order time. A choice is unavailable if its product is inactive, sold out or out of stock; the meal deal is when a group no longer has enough choices.
Promotions and promo codes#
The Promotions & Codes page opens from the Promotions menu entry (Catalogue and stock); the same promotions are also managed in Settings › Promotions (owner).
Creating a promotion#
New promotion: Name, Promo code (optional, upper-cased; for example WELCOME10), Type (percentage or fixed amount), Value, Min. order amount, Max. uses (empty = unlimited), Start date and Expiry date. A promotion can be deactivated without deleting it; an expired promotion is greyed out.
At the till#
Only promotions with a code, active, within their dates and not used up appear in the payment's Apply a promo code… list. A code is refused if invalid, expired, used up, or if the order does not reach its minimum. Each use counts once. See discounts.
Quick discounts, scope and rules#
In Settings › Promotions:
- Quick discounts: the "-10%"… buttons shown at payment.
- Possible discounts: per item and on the order (default), per item only, on the order only, or none.
- Discount rules (off by default): maximum per discount (%), maximum per order (MAD), minimum order, suggested reasons; beyond them, a manager must approve.
